About Us

About Us

Crescendo is a global community of Christ-following professional classical and jazz musicians. The purpose of Crescendo is to equip musicians spiritually in their vocation and invite others to explore a relationship with God. We collaborate locally, nationally, and internationally, pursuing creative initiatives and service projects, utilizing the gifts of the artists in our network. We seek to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in order to further the Kingdom of God as followers of Jesus and as artists engaging with and positively influencing culture.

In 1985, Crescendo was founded through Campus für Christus in Basel, Switzerland as an inter-denominational movement, working alongside cultural institutions and Christian churches to impact musicians, the Church, and society. Now, Crescendo operates in over 30 countries around the world.

After decades of experiencing the impact of Crescendo’s ministry, Delta David Gier launched Crescendo North America in 2019 to serve musicians in the United States and Canada. Our mission is to witness to the saving love of Jesus Christ, encourage and challenge musicians in their faith and vocation, and minister through music and acts of service in churches and to the broader community.

What We Do

Crescendo seeks to spiritually equip musicians to live out their faith in their workplaces, transforming the world of classical music for Christ. The heart of our mission is connecting musicians to local Crescendo hubs across North America. These hubs create space for spiritual growth, authentic fellowship, and shared artistic calling. Crescendo also organizes events, retreats, and initiates musical projects for our members. We support artists in becoming rooted and whole—spiritually, creatively, and relationally.

We want every musician to encounter the saving love of Jesus Christ. Through personal connection, mentoring, and meaningful musical engagement, we share the Gospel in ways that are natural and relational—whether in rehearsal rooms, cafés, studios, or concert halls.

As musicians grow in faith, we equip them to lead and serve wherever God has placed them. Whether launching new hubs, guiding others, or bringing Kingdom values into their craft, we send artists out to live their calling for God’s glory.
