A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, Janna Williamson performs as soloist and collaborative pianist throughout Chicago and beyond.
The Chicago Hub of Crescendo North America welcomes Christopher Harding in a special lecture-recital on
Thursday, March 24, 7:30 pm
at the Armerding Concert Hall
at Wheaton College.
Dr. Harding will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata Op.111, which was composed in 1822, 200 years ago. He will also share reflections about this piece from a musical as well as personal and spiritual standpoint. His lecture-recital will be followed by time for questions and answers, moderated by Hub leader Janna Williamson.
Christopher Harding is Professor and Chair of Piano at University of Michigan. He holds piano performance degrees from Eastman School of Music and Indiana University; he regularly works as guest artist and teacher at the MasterWorks Festival. He is well-known in the world of piano pedagogy for his teaching, speaking, publishing; this will be an exceptional outreach opportunity to local piano students, piano teachers, and music enthusiasts.
