"The arts belong not to the devil and the world, but wholly to God and His people. Through Crescendo, God is actively restoring and reviving the music world for His glory!"
Biography
Kristen van Dyck is the Administrative Assistant for Crescendo North America. She is also a freelancing violinist in Ohio and Pennsylvania. A native to Cleveland, van Dyck completed her B.S. in Education and earned a music performance minor at Kent State University. Her violin teachers include Cathy Meng Robinson, Jung-Min Amy Lee, and Naomi Youngstein. She has worked as administrative and editing assistant for Kent State’s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music, Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, Kent Blossom Music Festival, John Mack Oboe Camp, and Law Offices of Denice Smith.
Why is Crescendo important?
"That feeling of knowing you aren't the only Christian in your band, orchestra, college, or other workplace is like a breath of fresh air. It is an encouragement that helps you re-equip your spiritual armor each day to fight the battle. Crescendo continually brings this excitement, belonging, comfort, and community to Christians who need it.
My hope is for our community to be reminded that the arts belong not to the devil and the world, but wholly to God and His people. Through Crescendo, God is actively restoring and reviving the music world for His glory! It is a joy to see this community grow and I am so grateful God has called me to this important ministry work."
